This 4-month, 7-hour Specialty Course is taught by Dr. Linda Bark, PhD, RN, MCC, NC-BC, NBC-HWC.

International Coach Federation

To sit for the ICF Associate Certified Coach exam (ACC), students require 10 hours of mentoring outside of class from an ICF Certified Coach. Seven (7) hours of the ten hours can be accomplished in a group setting with 10 or less students. We limit of this mentoring group to no more than 10 students so by finishing the mentoring course, you will complete 7 of the 10 ICF required hours. To complete the other 3 out of 10 required hours, ICF stipulates those to be a 1-1 interaction with a ICF Certified Coach. For an additional fee, Dr. Linda Bark offers three 1-1 individual mentoring sessions, at a discounted rate, for those taking the mentoring course. See below for details.

Nurse coaches wanting to enhance their skill set

For nurses, any practice hours completed during this course can be counted towards the required 60 supervised practice hours that you submit to AHNCC for the Nurse Coach exam application. All coaches get feedback on coaching skills to take their practice to the next level!

She has two nursing degrees, a masters in life transition counseling, and a PhD in philosophy and religion. She combined her education and experience to create the Wisdom of the Whole Coaching Academy, a home for discovery and exploration of a new way of coaching that creates wholeness and benefits the coach, the client, and the world.

Dr. Bark has almost 30 years of experience coaching in private practice and almost 25 years of training coaches internationally in such organizations as Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, as well as KPMG and Welji in India. Linda received first place for professional development for her textbook The Wisdom of the Whole: Coaching for Joy, Health, and Success. She has been instrumental in coach certification for Nurse Coaches through the AHNCC and Health and Wellness Coaches through the National Consortium for the Certification of Health and Wellness Coaches. Her passion about holistic/integral coaching not only focuses on individual work, but also on how teams and organization can use coaching skills and principles to build and grow a healthy culture.
